Growing Stewards
Growing Stewards
The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) developed “Stewards of God’s Love,” a resource congregations can use for doing year-round stewardship ministry. Rooted in a holistic, biblically based approach to stewardship, “Stewards of God’s Love” challenges all Christians to reimagine the ways in which they steward God’s resources — time, talents and treasures — in response to God’s commandment to love God and our neighbors.
It is designed to equip you with themed activities, Bible verses, best practices and new ideas to ignite year-round stewardship in your congregation. It also features real-world examples of congregations and leaders from around the country who are faithful stewards not only in their worship but in all aspects of their lives.
Whether you’re new to stewardship or have been leading a committee for years, have led a large congregation or a small worshiping community in your home, you can use this guide to renew your congregation’s stewardship ministry or simply to find a few new insights for growing stewards.
