Women Give 2014
Women Give 2014 investigates how the nexus of religiosity, gender, and age is related to charitable giving. The report shows that the religiosity-giving relationship, which has been assumed to be the same regardless of gender and age, is a more complex relationship than previously thought.
In an important shift from the standard religiosity-giving story, young single women who are religiously unaffiliated give generously to charitable organizations, especially to not-religiously identified organizations. This study suggests that the trend of declining religious affiliation does not foreshadow a decline in giving to charitable organizations.
