The Undiminished Flame: Education, Giving and the Quest for Faith

Thomas H. Lake Lecture

Dr. Richard Gunderman, noted Indiana University professor and physician and author of We Make a Life by What We Give, talks about education as a form of philanthropic giving and its role in the quest for faith. He explores how education’s shared journey to understanding ourselves and the world is one of the most powerful opportunities to give and to pursue fulfilling lives serving others.

In his remarks, “The Undiminished Flame: Education, Giving and the Quest for Faith,” Gunderman discusses how intangible gifts such as knowledge and education grow through giving, and how the gift of education shapes our view of the world and the lives we are called to lead.
